I am curious to see what y’all think about creep feeding your calves. I can see it being beneficial in ways such as being in a drought period, getting calves preconditioned to feed, and helping cows that calves are dragging down. Is it economically worth it though is my question?

I ended up purchasing a bull online from their auction. Every bull I saw that went through the ring looked good and if there was a problem with that bull they let you know right away.

I am curious to which calving season y’all like most and the pros and cons y’all have found? I am personally calving out in spring.

What are yall's experiences with raising commercial bulls? Would it be worth it to keep one or two of your best bull calves to raise for bulls? Is there any kind of market for them?

I'm located in Oklahoma, these heifers are balancers and are starting to calve now through April 15th. There are currently 11 and I'll be using a balancer bull. I also plan to pull these calves around the 5 month old range.

I'll have some first calf pairs this summer and my question is should I leave the bull longer than my desired 60 breeding season? I know heifers can sometimes cycle later than a mature cow would so I'm curious whether I should leave him for and extra 30 days to catch anything that cycled late...
