That’s really good for 12-13 months. I feed a 12% beef mix may need to just switch to corn. Do you mind sharing info on your feeding program.

How much do your steers weigh typically at 12-13 months when you butcher them?

So unless it gets really bad just put some sort of fungicide/Vaseline ointment on it and let it run it’s course? Thanks for the info.

Similar to my original post but now it’s over his eye. Rubbed it down to bare skin. I think it’s just from rubbing but what are your thoughts? Anything I can put on the area to help it heal and not get infected? Thanks

It’s -6 with a -30 wind chill here right now going to be cold until Sunday or Monday. No barn just a run in shed for wind and keep them dry. Water keeps freezing up. So far they all seem fine but still worry.

They have been on hay for about 2.5 weeks now. I have a fence line feeder with metal feeder panel it’s older so maybe from rubbing on that.

Wanted to see if anyone had an idea what these white spots Are if anything. They look like dry skin and are long and narrow. So far two of my steers have it and it’s in the same location on both of them. Let me know what you all think. Thanks
