dun, both heifers, i guess that is the good news, if there is good news to twins. time thing is what i was hopeing as well, they seem flexible so i hope they will straighten out. think we will give it a couple of bottles to see if that will help boost her a little.

Had a heifer hae twins yesterday. She seems to want to take both, one (of course was weaker than the other) so we put some colostrum in it. She has made it so far, not sure if it has nursed or not. Anyway the calf has very weak pasterns on the front and has trouble standing. Anything to do...

Jeanne, those are nice heifers i don't care what anyone says. and i'll take some of that baleage any day over some of the dry hay we feed down here in the Carolinas. I'm a big fan of the baleage. and 5# of corn a day is nothing in the grand scheme of things.

No way would i classify her as a 5 or 6 i think a 4 is a fairly accurate score no ribs are visable which is good, but no fat visible either hooks and pins are bothe pretty prominant, would like to see more fat around the pins. a few more groceries wouldn't hurt

Don't worry the bin will be used to save quiet a bit on feed it is clean on the inside and rust free only problem is lid and that is what i wasn't sure about if any brand of lid would fit it or not plus i was trying to figure out the capacity without doing the math myself
