Calf looks good.My Ext cows are very calm also. They let me tag and weigh calves without worrying about getting trampled.I plan on keeping the best upcoming Resource x Ext bull for myself. I have a Rampage and a 10x bull calf and the Ext calf’s are definitely thicker and more vigorous.

Here in the Southwest cow hay is $6-$7 a 60 2 strand bale. Stripped alfalfa is $7-$8 a small bale. Horse hay $10-$12 a small bale. Corn silage is $50 a ton delivered. .No hay is sold by the ton in New Mexico. We are by far the highest hay price state.

Looks like GENEX has sexed Resource semen. I didn’t know Resource was sexed.

Maybe I should re think who I buy semen from.

Called to order some SAV Resource straws and informed the guy I was breeding Leachman Right Time , and N Bar Ext cows. He recommended Cowboy Up over Resource. Any thoughts ?
