    Bratwurst in a smoker?

Vett, just pulled four pounds of brats off they turned out as expected. The original flavor seem to have more smoke flavor than the Italian flavor. I'll give both of the flavors a two thumbs up.....thanks for your suggestion! fg

    Bratwurst in a smoker?

I have a Masterbuilt electric smoker that works great and I am impressed with it. The only thing I didn't like about it was that you have to order a stand to sit it on. The one I have has a digital timer on it, just set the time and temperature, add soaked wood chips and let it do it's thing...

    Bratwurst in a smoker?

Thanks Vett, you've given me a pretty good starting point. The brats that we picked up are Johnsonville brats so they should turn out good. By the way, have you ever stopped at that little bar-b-que place at Centerville? I don't think you would be disappointed in them. fg

    Bratwurst in a smoker?

We stopped and grabbed a smoked brat on our way home last week and the thing was pretty darn good. I hate to have to drive back to Centerville TX to have another one so we picked up some raw brats up at the grocery store. Any one have a recipe on how to slow cook them in a smoker? flyguy

    Sucks to be poor

What seems to be missing here? I'm having trouble with the math because when you subtract from the advertised acres of 166351 the 122 acres of deeded land, minus the state lease of 13841 and minus the blm's 65568 acres there seems to be 83820 missing. :help: me with the numbers. Maybe the...

    dusk to dawn lights

BB gun?, probably not big enough to make a big impression. Every now and then I have to reinforce our neighbors dogs memory that they aren't welcomed around here. Just the mere sounded a shot over the "bow" works wonders.

Why my truck was running rough

Cat trapping? Several years ago I thought I had a coon that was marking his territory in the back of my pickup. Come to find out there were three different tom cats working it for me and the funny thing about it, I caught them using dog food for bait. I didn't use to be a cat person but...

    dusk to dawn lights

Now you have me curious, what does the formula look like? I've always been interested in how to calculate the cost of certain appliances. The thing is, lavacarancher is only considering cost of the electricity in his formula. His figures are missing the cost of the light fixture itself, and...

Why my truck was running rough

Sounds like you need some cats. I used to have trouble with squirrels chewing the wiring on my company truck and one of our cars. Since we hired several cats, I've not had any more trouble with the little varmints and they sure cut down on the number of snakes too.

Why my truck was running rough

After looking at all of those pecans, I'd guess that it was a bushy tailed tree rat (aka squirrel) that has been using your truck for a pantry. :lol2:

The thing is, lavacarancher is only considering cost of the electricity in his formula. His figures are missing the cost of the light fixture itself, and installation/maintenance/replacement. The cost of the electricity is the only thing that I'm interested in. :tiphat:

    !@$# that hurt

Hey Cal, you know that could have been much worse............it could have been my finger. But seriously, I hope it heals quickly without any permanent problems. One of my bil's had a thumb ripped off in a rodeo accident several years ago and I still get cold chills thinking about it. Hope...

    A question for Texans

cb, this is one thing that I enjoy about this board, it turns into a history lesson sometimes. :tiphat: mill, enjoy your visit to Texas! I think that you will discover that Texans are very proud of their state and rightfully so because they fought hard for it with blood sweat and tears...

    A question for Texans

My 2 cents worth would be to fly into Hobby as it is much closer to JSC than Bush International, hit JSC (tell our son hi for us while you're there) then go to the Battle Ship Texas. Some other history close to the Battle Ship Texas is the San Jacinto monument. Who knows, it may save you a trip...

    Wireless Printer

I've been waiting for some time to jump on a thread like this one. We bought a HP printer several years ago and the support was pathetic? I don't remember what model it was but I still remember the last encounter I had with their support people. I can describe it with one word. RUDE! I...
