    Foxtail hay for cattle?

Because of dry hot summer our hay did not do well, I have 22 acres of wheat ground and the foxtail grew well after the wheat came off. I remebered back when I was a kid and grandpa talked about it being ok to bale the stuff and referred to as poor man hay. Is it worth the time to mow it and bale it.

    Balding calf

A 3-week-old Hereford calf that we have is balding. I only noticed the hair loss on his face. Could it be mange or heat or is it worse than that? I don't know much about a problem like this. Like I said it was born proably 3 maybe 2 weeks ago and its a Hereford bull calf. Nate
