    Squeeze Chute Floor

Forgive me if this isn’t the best place for this question. Somebody feel free to move it if you feel it might get more traffic in another section. The wood floor under our chute has broken down. What have you guys done to rebuild your chute floor? I’ve seen diamond plate with square stock or...

    How old is this Barn?

We’re in NE Kansas, about an hour west of Kansas City.

    Very cool, Tennessee.

    How old is this Barn?

Unfortunately, it is not. I took pictures of the “good” side. The other side where it appears the foundation has been redone, the foundation is split bad and that side of the barn is beginning to fall in. The main floor is covered in hay (wife’s grandparents used it for storage of small bales)...

    How old is this Barn?

Thanks for the responses so far everyone. From the little I’ve read online about the types of nails used, the way roofs and trusses were made, etc can all determine when something was built, or atleast get close. It does have a “basement” underneath the main floor. My wife says her...

    How old is this Barn?

Any idea where I’d look for a date? Where’s it at on theirs?

    How old is this Barn?

Can any of you guys put a guesstimate age on this barn? Wife’s grandparents built their house in the 70’s. This was an old dairy barn that was there from a long time before, but we’re trying to put an age on it. I took some pictures to try to help with an estimate. Maybe they’re helpful? If any...

Your setup for spot spraying and fence lines, etc.

Thank you everyone for the responses. More than likely going to pick up a 15 gallon boomless for the ATV. We’ll start there and see how things progress.

Your setup for spot spraying and fence lines, etc.

What’s your guys setup for small jobs, spot spraying noxious weeds, fence lines, etc? And what herbicides are you using for your fence lines? I have a Honda Rancher I’d like to get a tank setup for. What size serves you guys well? Did you go boomless? Thanks

    stock trailers

We just purchased a 24’ Travalum (aluminum) trailer after debating steel vs aluminum, much on the recommendations of a lot of folks on here and for the reasons above. We have a 20’ Travalong now that’s been a good trailer but rust has taken over, needs a floor, etc. Hopefully the Travalum will...

    Circle D stock trailers

Hey everyone, we’re in the market for a new stock trailer. We’ll be keeping our 20’ Travalong for a back up but it’s seen better days. From what I understand, new trailers are hard to come by with metal prices and customer demand at the moment. A local trailer dealer here sells Circle D stock...

    fence tips and tricks

May be a stupid question, but do any of you guys use these straps with D ring ends on them with a come along for stretching fence? I’ve been using a chain and these look like they’d make life a little easier. Keep the chain or use a strap? Rated at 3,333 lb working load/10k lb breaking point.

Hydraulic Cylinders for Bush Hog Batwing Mower

Thanks guys. One of the heads of the bolts on one cylinder that was plugging the one port not being used was broken off some time ago, so the cylinder has had water in it. I figured a rebuild would be pretty costly assuming (atleast the one) would need a lot of new parts. Just looked up specs...

Hydraulic Cylinders for Bush Hog Batwing Mower

Hey all, We have a Bush Hog 2615L that I believe is in need of some cylinders for the wings. I can’t find any specs in the manual but after some measuring, I think it’s a 3” bore, 12” stroke cylinder and sticker says it’s rated at 3000 psi (maybe someone can verify the bore and stroke)...

Hydraulic Oil in New Holland L785

Two of the wheel seals leak on the outside of the wheel, it’s developed a new leak that is coming from the drivetrain area. The skid plate is wet underneath the motor. Pretty sure it’s not motor oil as the fluid has a clear tint to it (the oil is black). I haven’t pulled the seat up to try to...

Hydraulic Oil in New Holland L785

Thanks for the replies guys. Would you advise against adding the HyGuard to what is currently in there? Thought about doing so to see if it worked so I could get by to finish putting hay up. The leak looks like it’s coming from underneath, it’s not a line or anything up top, doesn’t look like...

Hydraulic Oil in New Holland L785

Hey guys, have a New Holland L785 skid steer. It’s developed a hydraulic oil leak and until I have a chance to find and fix the leak, was wondering if I can add a certain oil to the system to keep it full without any ill effects. The book calls for a J20A spec oil which from what I understand...

    Thoughts on UTVs

Like everyone else has said, couldn’t be without it. We have an 825i Gator. Has plenty of power and have yet to get it stuck. Very reliable. Does 45 mph for the short road runs. We had a 625 Gator before that had a slightly bigger bed but not near the suspension or quickness as this one does...
