http://www.bullbarn.com/gelbepd.asp?ID=1 http://abs-bs.absglobal.com/beef/gelbvieh.asp?CodTouro=29GV0065 Here are two bulls that I think would be a good bet for calving ease and making moderate females. I have used Encore quite a bit on heifers and never pulled a calf. I have Encore females...

Angus bull to add muscle part 2

Rito 1I2 would not be on the north end of any list to add muscle that I know about. This bull has a place, but the ones I have seen tend to be a little flat muscled. Woodhill Foresight would be an excellent choice to add muscle, carcass, and maternal to the mix. Also, scrotal is excellent on...

    Gelbvieh cows are more efficient.

What about this bull - WVR Weaver Lester 27L? I know the numbers will more than likely go down, but look at that huge ribeye. From the limited pictures that I have seen looks phenotypically impressive as well.

    deworming & breeding

I read a study once that showed higher conception rates when cattle were poured with Dectomax 30 days or less the AI date. If I can find it again I will post a link.

    Bon View New Design 208

The son you are referring to is TC Total 410 - 14844711 He is very phenotypically correct and has been used fairly heavily in my part of the country at least. His accuracies should improve over the next couple evaluations.

What are my chices for beef in north eastern ky?

If you are going to go with charolais, I would suggest that you cross them with a red gelbvieh, red limo, or red angus bull. The yellow char crosses bring the most money at the sale barn.

    Elias Scales

Anyone ever used this brand of livestock scale? I'm looking at the platform scale that fits in the alley or chute. These things look tough and that's exactly what I need.

    Hello Everyone

I have totally stayed away from these threads because I felt a little bit sorry for Hill, but this deal takes the cake. I think you would be better served putting together some kind of Fantasy Pasture League on your computer. You could pick out some cattle from the angus.org website and keep...

    What Hereford AI sire?

I like enhancer 2d best of all the bulls that have been mentioned. From all accounts he would do all the things that I need for this set of cows. The other bulls have good points, but this is the only bull that would reduce frame.

    What Hereford AI sire?

Would be good to use on purebred Charolais cows to produce good replacement females? The most important characteristics would be improve udder structure, above ave milk, reduce frame size, fertility, good foot and leg structure. You hereford guys point me in the right direction and I would...

    baler to buy what kind

John Deere has the best design on a round baler right now - IMHO. I have not used one of the new Vermeer rollers - they might be very good as well.

    need help picking ai bull

OCC Magnitude, Woodhill Foresight, or N Bar Prime Time would all be good choices from ABS.

    OCC Anchor 771A

If you feel like you have to use an OCC bull, spend the extra money and use Emblazon. You will like the Emblazon calves much better than the Anchor calves.
