Treated a weaned heifer calf for what appeared to be an ear infection in December. Droopy left ear, kind of shaking her head, lots of discharge from the ear, temp was normal, didn't lose her appetite initially but lagged a little. Hand fed her Sustain to see if it would clear up but 2 days...

Extra-long hike with the pups today and I had forgotten about this - whatever it is. To me, it looks like the equivalent of a creep feeder for calves (or goats?), except using small, square bales of hay instead of grain/cubes. And there are a few homemade creep feeders still around. Mr. TC...

Dang, it was hard to narrow down because there were 4 other heifers I really wanted to keep, but these 6 made the cut this year. Well, contingent on their pelvic measurements in February. Loaded & hauled all the other calves yesterday. Sweet relief! And now my life will be somewhat easier...
