    eating problem

    I've heard alot of times when horses do this that a few doses of probiotics will fix the problem. They do this because their stomach bugs aren't right and they are trying to remedy it themselves.

    I think the label says Original M-T-G you can find it in the horse supplies at Tractor Supply. It's base is mineral oil I think, and has some sulfer smell to it. Alot of people don't like the smell...it's not so bad to me. Kinda smells like burnt rubber haha. Anyway...bath horse.....put that...

    Hoof Abscess

    When you hafta wrap a hoof...the best thing is a baby diaper....and duct tape. Tape that sucker on like you don't intend for it to ever come off. LOL they'll wear the bottom off faster than you'd think.

    No, he's not high headed. A tie down is used alot of the time for the horse to brace against in a turn for balance. Some need it and some don't.

    This is a pic of one of her horses wearin the set I painted. LOL it's been on 3 of them so far. Looks like I need to find somemore tack to paint so that she has a different set for each horse.

    Smokin Run.....

    Lil Lilly had an awesome run yesterday. Toilet Paper ran a lil less than a second off of Tammy Key Fischer's winnin run. Normally she doesn't show up at the barrel races we're at. Even tho she's competin with some of the toughest girls in Texas. She's pumped about this run, and how well TP worked.

    Tie that horse up to a tree somewhere every day, saddled. Just needs to learn patience. And that it CAN stand still when tied.

    You can tell alot by bein "touchy feely" with your horse. They do get out of place, and need chiro work. As well as massage therapy, both do wonders, in alot of cases. It doesn't always solve the problem, but it can definately be beneficial with competing horses. Horses get out of place just...

    short hooves

    My first question would be......how long ago was he trimmed and was he trimmed short? Secondly 125 acres is not really that much area to rome. Rocks would play a part in wear for sure. But if he's sound, I wouldn't think he's hurtin because of shorter hooves. Are they in good shape? No cracks etc?

    Haven't heard of either of those promoting hoof growth.....but Biotin is a good supplement to get hoof growth.
