    Spreading seed and fertilizer together.

Regular lespedeza and services lespedesa, two different animals. Regular is fantastic, service a is a noxious weed, spread by highway departments on right away in Missouri. Once it gets older growth the cattle hate it

    Pasture mix grass

WSG should be rolled into a prepared seed bed, the stuff is expensive. I would be afraid of a very low germination rate.

I know this, when I lime my broom sedge significantly reduces. I would also recommend some 24D with Remedy. Huge improvement

    Been unrolling hay

Great read thanks for posting, we feed Bermuda hay and it’s nutritional value I have seen as high as $25. For sake of argument, you can buy hay here for $30 a bale, and you get $14 in nutrients...very hard to pay for hay equipment, time, and fertilizer for the $16 difference. I guess the...

    Missouri Stocking Rates

We have one farm that runs a pair for 1.68 acres, 14 paddocks, 3 with Bermuda, and 30 acres of Caucasian. We overseed Bermuda with annual rye, cattle do well. No fescue on the place. Most of our places require 2.5 acres per pair. Sorry if I was unclear.

    Fix this worn out pasture?

Spray with Remedy and you will only brush hog once. Lime always reduces the sedge on our farms. If I had to choose between spray and fertilizer I would take spray, nothing cleans a place up faster.

Best Zero Turn mower out there?

I did a tremendous amount of research and test drives. My 4 acres is extremely rough, Because of that I bought a Ferris 2100 60 inch. This unit has fully independent suspension like a car. It is amazing, cut my mow time in half because you can mow at full speed

    Fence Energizer

My only question, does it have a remote to shut the fence off like my speed rite? I can’t live without the handiness of being able to shut the fence off and on from anywhere?

Simangus, Balancer, Limflex , or BraunAngus bulls on heifers?

We use Balancer bulls on occasion when we are short on bull power, but I prefer Purebred Angus bulls on heifers, more predictability.

    Truck Shopping

I bought my F150 XLT Supercrew 4x4 7 months ago, with Max tow and 3.5 dual turbo. Thing is awesome, tows my skid loader no problem, but gets 21 mpg on the highway. Paid $42k... You don't have to spend 60 and it's fairly well loaded.
