Will CIDR does any good to the cow to make them into heat early?

Hi all! I currently have 15 open cows which I just joined a bull with. My question is how long will it normally takes for the cows to come into heat from the day I joined them with the bull? And if they do not come into heat after they are supposed to, what shall I do to make them on heat.? Tq

my approach for bloating cattle problem is by giving them either a very thick lemongrass juice mixed with vege oil OR if it doesnt work will give them 3 litres of COKE ...( not that DIET COKE please)

I would think that if a jersey cow is crossed with Brangus bull the offspring will be a not so black but shiny one and that it comes with a pair of horns. Anyone conquer me on his?

I have tried crossbreeding limo with my domesticated Kedah-Kelantan cows. Its a Malaysian local breed. The result turned out to be quite okay especially in terms of body length, temperament and hardiness.

I once had this twin experience with my Charolais X by AI. Gave birth to twin Bali Cattle..both died after survived for 2 days..:-(

I am waiting for the result of crossing my Red Brangus with my white Brahman Cows... I guess and hope they will be shiny red..:-)

I agree with you.. I hv tried Red Brangus with my domesticated cows and the outcome is fantastic. Apart from the enhancement of the carcass they stand to be hardy as well. But there are not many Red Brangus here in Malaysia.

Why dont you try Brahman on your heifers.. Good temperament and hardy too. Then cross the offsprings with Angus to get the carcass. IMHO

Yes.. They are nice looking cattle. But I heard that they cant be crosbred with other breed.
