I sold some steer calves on Saturday Avg. weight was 545# price was 1.45.50. Although prices are lower than the group I sold before, (last December) I was happy with outcome. :cboy:

I hope this already been asked. During winter feeding if I feed 1 ton of 16% hay free choice to calves will I get the same results as feeding 1 ton of 15% feed. Does this get into the TDN? Feed costs about 270 per ton I grow hay for about 114.40 per ton. :???: Thanks

Eight days ago I had a cow get stuck in a pond (mud), I don't know for how long exactly because I fed at 5pm left about 8'ish and wasn't back at the farm until 12pm the next day, she came to feed. I'm a small farmer in East Tenn. Just wondering if any person has a prediction on 6&7 weight Steer/Heifer prices for 2013.Wonder if the high prices will hold throughout the summer? Thanks
