    Safety when getting unstuck

I work in the wire rope industry. We make the winch lines, raising lines, chain slings, nylon slings. We also proof test slings and I can tell you the wire rope, chain slings are worse when breaking than a nylon sling/strap. Laying something over the center of the line can help some.

    DIY gooseneck hitch

That's what I was thinking. On my 05 chevy I used a piece of channel iron to make it. I don't think I will have the room on the Ford but I know the flat plate will fit. Going to do this one without lifting the bed this time.

    DIY gooseneck hitch

I have an old f150 that I am making a ranch truck. I need the hitch for the hydraulic bale lift to mount/attach to. It will not be pulling a GN trailer. I am thinking 3/4" x4" or 6" plate slid over the frame rails and under the bed will be sufficient for the use and weld to truck frame, cut hole...

    MF 240 rebuild questions

I just got a MF 240 Diesel and the steer cylinders are leaking. There is some kind of home grown hydraulic plate used to tap into the Hyd fluid system and has a slow leak on top about where the seat mount would be. The seat mount is a 2x6 and not stable at all. Good news it seems run good and...

I'll mail you a dollar if you can watch this without choking up

Interesting video but no tears, maybe its the whole being married to the same woman for 25 year thing that Bigfoot mentioned. Its much more entertaining starting a fight with her when I am bored or maybe my skill level has advanced. Or I am just stupid? I thought the video was very interesting...

Mud Terrain Tires. Are they worth it?

I like the super swamper tsl radial and bias ply for an aggressive mud tire. Far superior than the old bias 7.00-16 mudders or the ground hawgs from back in the day. They have a narrow version if the wide tires aren't your thing. On my truck I run the BFG AT KO2's with zero complaints. The soil...

    convert FEL to quick attached?

I have a Case 485 that I use a ratchet rake on and I basically use it like small bull dozer clearing brush around our place. Having driven some newer, smaller tractors with the quick attach. I am getting the itch to convert this old beast. Is it worth converting this old tractor? I want to do...

    Tillerson Out; Pompeo In

I am curious. If you are the Owner of a company or the President of the USA. Do you put yes men/women in positions of authority or do you put people in place that will argue their view of the best way to reach a goal?

    Tillerson Out; Pompeo In

Trump the business man did not grow his business by hiring a$$ kissers. No successful business person makes it by hiring cheerleaders. That statement is simply wrong. President Trump is not putting parrotts in place. He is putting men/women in place that will do a job that is expected and stand...

    Need New Air Compressor

I bought item# 62785 at HF and have no complaints. I run impacts, air ratchets, framing nailers etc off it. My son and I both using on our hot rods etc and it performs very well, Now if doing a lot with the air ratchet, it will deplete air supply and you have to wait for it build back up...

    bale dolly

I used 2" square tube for my bale lift and I used weld on axle spring perch's to attach the square tube to the pipe. Gives a good welding surface for both sides. I also used a spring hanger that will capture the top post. The top post will lay into the spring hanger when the bale is broke over...

    bale dolly

Well, I forgot to get pics, but I will be going again next weekend. I built my axle out of pipe and used the weld in axle stubs. I slide 2 each 12" piece of pipe over the axle before I weld the other axle stub on. My asle with tires on, measures at 102" wide outside of tire to out side of tire...

what bit to easily drill 3/8 or 1/2" holes in about 80 tires?

I have no personal experience to verify this yet. Many of the youtube vids I have been watching about making tire water troughs, all recommend speedbore bits to drill through the tire. Never knew those existed but I will be buying some when my project starts.
