Does anyone know the difference in the green one and the Springer? Both are made by Miller MFG and cost about the same.

    Cattle Prod

How well has the Green Hot Shot held up for you? Does anyone know the differences in the green, red, and yellow dura prod? I've noticed the green, red, yellow dura prod, and yellow Springer are all by Miller MFG.

Has the Springer held up good for you? I've heard they're weaker than the others.

    Cattle Prod

I don't use one often but I have a stubborn dairy bull that could use some encouragement sometimes. I also raise hogs and goats. I'm looking for one that will hold up and last more than a couple of years.

    Cattle Prod

Looking for opinions on what the best hot stick is. I've been looking at the Springer Magrath(Yellow) and the Sharp Shock. Is the Hot Shot DuraProd that much better to be almost double the price of the two previously mentioned?

    Fluids to dehydrated/scouring calves

Where I live, you would expect to pay $100-$150 for a calf like pictured above($100 for 1 day to a week, then $150 after that)... But thats very interesting information, and a good thing to know...

    Castration question

I have to agree, when younger the sac has less blood flow so it has less feeling. Someone said there's dates in the farmers almanac for castration, but I don't know anything about that.

    Valley Vet

It was 500ml of agrimycin(oxytetracycline) for $40 which is $21 at valley vet with free shipping, and I have to drive 1hr just to get to a vet.

    Valley Vet

I understand that, but they had a choice to become a vet or not. He could have just charged for the service, and gave me an option of purchasing the antibiotic. I don't believe that charging more than twice for something will get you anywhere, or anyone's business. But thats just my opinion.
