    Heifer mauling new born calves ? Injured new born

    I would give her about 3days to settle down. If she doesn't love her calf after that she would have a 1way trip to town. Heifers are stupid and I don't think they know what the calf is sometimes, but after a few days of the calf nursing she should have a clue and no longer be trying to kill it.

    I've been using the tubs with garlic in them. It doesn't matter if your neighbor uses something or not as it makes your cows have a slight garlic smell that repels flies. You do need to give it a couple of weeks to get in the cows blood stream, so I normally put it out about 2weeks before fly...

    Sick calf...not looking good

    101 is normal temp in a calf. If you can find it where you are, get 2 bottles of SXCalf, give half a bottle twice daily between milk feedings. One day is usually enough, but if the calf is extremely dehydrated you might need two days to turn it around.

    Warts...?

    hard to say when I don't know the mineral program. Warts are a sign of stress with a week immune system. Boost the immune system with a proper mineral program and you seldom see calves and yearlings with any warts much less the huge golf ball size ones.
