Rather than starting a new thread... what's going on with the notifications for followed threads? Is anyone else not getting their notifications for watched threads? Will this reach a moderator?

Anybody else having their watched threads not showing up in their notifications? @Marie or some other moderator?

The only Chi cross I've had personal experience with was half Chi from a Gert/Char cross cow. Big, beautiful, fertile, docile, and weaned a big calf from an udder that was hard to even see. First calf was 825# at weaning. The cow matured at 2000#. LOVED that cow... except she twinned every time...

@bauerlivestock ; I'd say it's unreasonable, even for good stock. No one asks that much over market unless they are thinking they have a fish on the line. And that's fine for them and makes a good story if you survive it. The good, local relationships you want are the ones that ask too much...

Do you have a healthy cow? Give her some saliva from the healthy cow. They get saliva from being licked by their mothers and that's how their gut microbiome develops. If they don't get it, they have a harder time.

Pretty neat lookin' out in a field if there's a group of cows and calves. But I've only been around a few and not really closely and they don't seem real friendly and of the few they didn't seem to be great mothers.

I've never known anyone that worried about a calf losing a tooth. I suppose it might be something, so I'm willing to give it the benefit of the doubt.
