    Orphan calf

Quite often indicates IBR or mineral deficiencies.

    Tomahawk

Phenomenal hunk of meat! But Creekstone game me 4 of those bad boys after one of the chef's tours last summer. I wouldn't just go out and buy one.

    Bale wrap removal

It makes me cringe if I see the netting not removed, but also if it's carelessly thrown aside. Same with twine. Why risk the potential consequences?

    Post a random picture

I bet I know who that someone is;)😁

Anybody watch these kinds of youtube shorts?

My favorite is Adam Rose, last day of coaching little league baseball.:ROFLMAO:

    Cow down. Can't get up

Define "sitting down". As in, sitting like this? If so, generally indicates a spinal injury and the outcome is not good. If she's just laying down, she's probably traumatized and needs a little time. Make sure she has water, hay &/or cubes. Make sure she is warm, and her temp is normal...

    Post a random thought

Still trying to wrap my head around this. Long lineage of ranching, but a friend of mine has a grandson named Draxxin. Just had a gender reveal for the 2nd grandchild and it's a girl. Any bets they name her Zoetis, Zoey for short?

    Winter storm

That's the truth! He was always such an azz about getting in the corral, loading, basically everything. And I'd always tell them I couldn't wait to eat him. Karma, Joey!!!

    Winter boots

Weston Heated Glove Liners. There are no wires, which is amazing. Not sure how durable they are because these particular ones are just the liners, to be worn inside a larger glove. Except Mr. TC wears them without outer gloves most of the time BUT he's not lifting, doing any manual labor...

I've moved, and I have a real job (still no haircut)

Good for you! Plus, still no haircut and you still get to spend time with your cattle. It's a win-win.

    Winter boots

I never had good luck with Mucks and started buying LaCross a few years ago. I have the whole range, from rain boots to the Alpha for extreme cold. So far, they're holding up better than any others I've tried. As far as warmth, I keep them on a boot dryer/heater. Game changer! And I did use...

    Winter storm

When we got hit last weekend and lost power, I had just unloaded 646 lbs. of Joey, the azzhole steer we finished and was subsequently in the big chest freezer. We're the last customer on the electric to the house & barn (3 different electric companies service the ranch), so I was fairly certain...

    Well, that explains a lot!

@greybeard wasn't it you that mentioned updating the CT Family pics? I sent @Marie a PM after that, since I'm running the photo contest, and never heard back. Looks like the old one posted above is now locked but maybe I could start a new one? @Mod2 is that okay?

    Not a Good Day

Wow. That would be horrific. Friends of ours lost their barn, hay, lots of equipment and their son's 4-H calf. I'm still reeling over that; can't imagine losing everything.

    The sunny South

Mr. TC talked to his cousin this morning. Don't try to go down the mountain.
