Along the road, the feedlot panels will be more work. There is a fence down from me exactly as you describe, but it is also across from a T intersection. There are 3 patch jobs now. I wouldn't use the feedlot panels next to a road because of the work it would require to repair.

Prices wise, it is expensive up front. However, life expectancy is much much longer than woven wire. I would figure at minimum twice as long, if not pushing 3 times. Over that many years, price drops drastically. Cheaper than continuous fence though. I ultimately would like a all pipe fence

Anybody built a fence using feedlot panels before? I got about 600ft of fence I need to replace and thinking of using feedlot panels and making 16ft sections. Quite possible would end up re-fencing all the property with this too.

Interesting. I would stay away from the E Series if at all possible. Even look for an older 5X25 series. The E series is a much lesser built tractor. Lighter, smaller cab, I rode in a 5085E last year and it does not compare to my 5425 (replaced by the 5085M). The E didn't have float detent on...

Take a look at the 5095M apples to oranges compared to the 5090E in regards to cab size, features, etc. The M will also be heavier built too.

6000 series will be a good jump size wise, weight wise, cab size, etc. If you haul your tractor alot on a trailer, staying the 5000 series might be better. Look at the 5425 or 5085M or similar in what hp you want. The M replaced the 5X25 model which I have.
