Agree. I have had three Krone’s over the years (one 8’ & two 9’) and they were great machines. They definitely take more horsepower than the 10’ Kuhn I run now but they were super reliable.

Best of luck. We just learned to accept Johnson grass around here. It has good nutritional value if cut at the right time. The best thing that seems to work is to keep a good plan for reseeding your good grasses.

I do something similar. I have cut across the pickup between a row of teeth to break up the hay with decent success. If that doesn’t work I open the gate.

What weed are you going after? We use one for Johnson Grass. 10’ rear mount on 4-wheeler. Tried it on front but you could see the tire track overspray.

There are many, many different formulations for expandable foam. Some set very light, airy, and soft and some set much firmer. It is hard to imagine foam ever being as dense as concrete but I could see it working. But cost of material and equipment, and the learning curve may be a big factor.

I fully agree color matters, at least in my area. We had a non-horned bull that threw some horned calves once. I remember hating working them with the horns. Do you have much trouble and do you have a different setup for holding the head? How do get them down the alley?

There is a commercial version that is much oilier and tacky. The last I purchased was in a somewhat plain white can that said Spectracide commercial.
