    hay balers

He's either storing the bales for more than one season or making no effort to store them in a place that drains fairly decent.

    Hay cover size ?

Those are lengths that I got after laying it out in a CAD program. Those lengths were based off a best case scenario, tight bales tight stack, ect. If the bales are loose or the stack is loose there by allowing them to slump a little your tarp would be closer than 24" to grade.

    Hay cover size ?

In order to cover from mid bale on the bottom row, up & over to mid bale on the bottom row other side you will need: 4-3-2-1 = 30' 3-2-1 = 22' This will leave your tarp 24" above grade assuming the bales are good/tight and no slumping.

    hay balers

The New Holland BR7090 will put up a 2200lb bale as well. We run an 08' BR7090 with the wide pick-up & net wrap & absolutely love it.

    Looking for a herbicide to.....

I really don't think spot spraying would be feasible as I have about 15ac that need to be sprayed, what can be used in the spray rig?

    Looking for a herbicide to.....

Dun, I belive you are correct. From what I have found it's classified as a "biennial" as that it goes through the reproduction stage every other year. I purchased some stuff from the feed store last year that it stunted there growth a little but didn't kill and there back two fold this year. I...

    Looking for a herbicide to.....

They have started to bloom but I'm thinking I could run the brush cutter over them and give them a couple weeks to sucker back out and then hit them with the right chemical to hopefully knock the fire out of them.

    Chutes

We use a newer Pearson manual chute and have had absolutely no problems with it. I really don't see the need for a hydraulic chute unless your working a whole bunch of animals. We run around 50 or so through ours at a time and it's really not to bad.

    Thoughts on this infection?

While spending some time with the girls tonight I noticed one that appeared to have a mesquite thorn stuck in her cheek that had become infected. Upon further investigation I couldn't find a thorn or any other signs that would explain the cause of infection. She has a lump about the size of a...

    Vermeer R2300 & John Deere 705 V-rakes...

Currently looking to purchase one of the above mentioned rakes to help cut down our raking time. It appears that the John Deere 705 is actually made by Vermeer but painted green. Just wanted to touch base with you all and see if anyone had any first hand experience with these. If so, pro's & con's?

Does this look like retained placenta?

In the subject I asked if that was the issue because from the research I had done that's what I've come up with. Generally what is the solution for this issue? We have yet to find a calf thats why I wasn't positive a retained placenta was the exact issue.
