My answer would be an 8 bale in-line self dumping round bale trailer. I bought it in 2011. Before that, I had a 20 foot implement trailer that I could haul 5 bales with. It required that I have a tractor on both ends in order to load and unload.
Now, I need a tractor to load with but I don't...
You know, a year ago I bought a brand new F350 Flatbed, standard cab, 2WD, gasoline with a CM Bed for about $38K.
Pretty happy with it a year into ownership.
(IMHO)
It's all about fitting the tractor to your operation...
I have a 5093E that I bought new in 2009. I absolutely love the tractor. The first cab tractor and largest tractor we have ever had on the farm. For the price I paid, I think is/was a great buy. It's been a reliable and...
I have a 2008 F350 with the 6.4 L Twin Turbo diesel with under 100,000 miles that I would be happy to sell you cheap!
While it has generally done the job I bought it for several years ago, I've been pretty dissatisfied with the engine as a whole. I've put some major dollars in the engine a...
I'm looking to upgrade my farm truck. Have eyes on a F450.
The engine shows to be a "V8 Biodiesel"....
Any thoughts on that engine. I assume it can burn "regular" diesel as well? Should the "biodiesel" be anything to be concerned about?
Last spring when I spread fertilizer, the local farm store agreed to mix liquid Grazon in the bulk fertilizer spreader. First time I had ever applied weed killer to my pasture and the first time I ever mixed it in the bulk spreader.
Absolutely amazing stuff. I've never had my pastures in as...
Mine is a 10-Wheel with a center kicker Rhino which I think they now label as a Patriot Rake. Bought it new in 2011 and have been very pleased with it. In fact, I've never bought a Rhino product I haven't been pleased with. Love Rhino.

I have a 50 acre hayfield that I bale for my own needs as well as for sale. I'd say it's 60% Johnson Grass, 40% Bermuda grass. I usually get 250 to 300 bales a year off it.
I have never had any issues with baling the Johnson grass. The two rules the old timers taught me were not to bale it...
I would say in Central Oklahoma it is Deere in a commanding lead, followed by Kubota and New Holland.
Out in Western Oklahoma where the big wheat farms are, Cash-IH holds 2nd behind Deere.
If it were me, I would not pull anything more than a 20 foot behind a 3/4 ton.
If you go over 20 foot, I would rather have the dual's of a 1-ton to try to stop the thing.
I saw the thread on bottle feeding.... My problem is I don't WANT to bottle feed. Here's my story...
Middle of last week, I had a calf born. It seems to have been born strong, but within the first day it was going through a gate and lost its footing. The other cows kept coming and several...
So I have an old JD box drill that I use to seed wheat in my pasture each Fall. Since my drill is not a "no-till" drill, I usually run a disk pass ahead of drilling. I've been using an 8' JD tandem disk I had before I got my larger tractor which has cutout blades on the front and smooth blades...
