I think that bull is pitiful. He could pass for a heifer with a lot of navel. He should have been cut and sent to the sale barn. Anything with more than a 3 sheath, which he has, should not be used as a herd bull...period...and certainly should not be collected and have semen advertised for...
Both of the bulls are very good. I don't really think that you could go wrong with either. Seeing as how I know the genetics and the history of where the bulls come from, I would be hard pressed to choose one or the other. I think both would be great herdsires in the future.
East Caney you did well, I think that is a tremendouse bunch of cattle in my opinion your off to a great start. I wonder if you put the screws to buster as well as mr orr lol
I think this bull would be as good as anyone can buy when he is of age. I wouldn't mind at all holding on to one good enough until he matures regardless of circumstances because in the long run he will be of more value to you than he is now.
There's no doubt it this will make a herd bull he wont be the tallest bull around but thats how I like em. This bull calf would be as good as anybodys around.
Thanks everyone for all the wonderful comments I thought you guys might like to know that on october 13th there will be a sale consisting of 68 lots of beefmaster females for sale if you are in the tulsa area or think you might like to take a trip pm me and I'll do the best I can to get you a...
I think that it is better to raise your own replacement females because if someone is selecting good enough bulls they should be the overall improvement of your herd.
sorry we didnt state this on the topic but we would like to get everyone's opinions on the two photos recently posted on the foundation bulls thread. We need your opinion because we are trying to figure out which bulls daughters would best suite the commercial cattleman, so that we can offer...
I think both are very good bulls and would improve any herd as far as overall appearance and performance. It takes bulls like these to provide the commercial cattleman with stock that work and keep them coming back. Both are very good bulls and I really admire what larry buster ,Mike Moss ,Doyle...
He's a good lucking bull but I'd like to see more length and width to his rump muscles is all but dont get me wrong they'll certainly do.Oh and about the frame score which I dont know to much about but he may be to short for my liking and I like moderate cattle.
This bull has not seen a grain of corn in his life he is completely fed native grass that isnt't even fertilized mostly weeds to be honest.I took this picture myself about to weeks ago when I went to visit my Uncle buster and he had just pulled the bull off 30 heifers. This bull is the thickest...
