Pumpkins are really tough to grow down here. Squash is fine because it matures faster than the bugs can decimate it. Pumpkins just sit there too long. All our pumpkins are immigrants from other states. :lol:

Yep, lol! They are easy to spot and pull up early in spring. I toss the pumpkins in the air so they smash in one spot, or I use a tub. The cows usually get almost all of the seeds anyway. When we carve the pumpkins, We put the innards in the tub for the cows. No seeds get loose that way.
