is that an outdoor fogger or something you spray just on yourself? i am looking for a fogger. i can go outside in the mornings and it looks like thousands of them little buggers around the door and windows. one spraying of ocean spray would clear them out, but the canned foggers i get now...

this may be off a month or so but a rule of thumb to go by is... at 2 they cut their first 2 perm teeth. at 3, 2 more, at 4, 2 more and at 5, the last 2. this is how you age them. after 5 years of age, it becomes a guess, based on wear. so at 5, or 4.5, whenever they cut their last 2 teeth...

most likely just a fat deposit. it looks kind of bad, but will be ok if flies dont get all over it. i spray for that when i cut and have never had it to be a problem. if it is the cord, you might want to get it out. that can become infected and be a mess, but it does not sound like the cord...

i work my cattle by myself all the time, but i do not cut them by myself. imo that is asking for problems. all it takes is one to kick at the wrong time for you to cut your self really bad. that can happen at any time, but with someone holding the tail, it puts the odds more into my favor...

why not? it is all related. weak immunity can lead to all kinds of problems. got some shots and is feeling better now, but if his sickness is because of lack of enough colostrum, he will be sick in a couple of days again. a vicious cycle. jmo jt

i have found that to be what happens nearly everytime for me... they just clear up in a day or so. glad she got better jt

i could be wrong, but the thought that keeps coming to me is that it sounds like your calf didnt get enough colostrum, and unless something is done to offset that problem he will still be sick a month from now (if he is still alive). jmo jt
