All solid black , no baldies in this group . First calves I’ve sold out of my Gizmo Raindance son .

Sold 7 today , blown away by what they brought! Two calves at 460 lbs were heifers . Left 4 home that I had planned on selling. 1 sick , 3 lighter than I wanted to sell .

Sounds familiar to my wife and me . Grandkids gave us a gift certificate to a high priced steak place . She refused to go when she heard the prices. Wife , daughter and our granddaughter went to the beach so my son in law and I went to eat . Even with a $100 gift certificate it still cost us...

Probably red with some ear and sheath on the bulls/ steers . In N Alabama you’d take a beating on the calves . In Texas I’d think you’d do well on them .

Going to call her Miss Hersey , looks like a Hersey kiss .

Only sent 7 , one heifer , best one in the bunch , has an eye bothering her . Treated and put in weaning pasture . Had 3-4 that were a little lighter than I thought. We are really blessed with grass so we’ll give them another 30-45 days .

Here’s another of the baldie heifers , calf more what I expected.

We catching calves now to send to Arab for Tuesday. Got about 10-12 late fall , winter calves . Some really nice ones and a few sort of rough around the edges . Hope the buyers see their growth potential and not their rough coats .
