LAKE CITY BLACK BULL INVITATIONAL SALE AVERAGES $2,427 ON 64 LOTS

Thirty-six buyers purchased the 64 buls offered for a total of $155,300 or $2,427 per head average. The Brangus averaged $2,550 per head and Angus averaged $2,155 per head. The highest selling bull was Lot 20 from Char-No Farms. This stout Ultra Black brought $3,500. Lot 36, Singletary of Brinks Son from Gruel Family Brangus and Lot 47, Garrett of Brinks from L & W Farms, each sold for $3,300. Lot 69 and 56 of Crestview Farms were the high selling Angus bulls at $2,400. High volume buyer was EWH Ranch with seven bulls.

One hundred ten registered buyers came from Georgia, West Florida, Central and North Florida and pushed the average $500 higher than last year. We are looking for a tremendous future in calf prices for the next two years minimum and that should continue to impact the bull sales.
