Breeders Top 10 bulls were from the breeders of Double S Simmental, Fountain Run, Ky.; Sunset View Farm, Auburn, Ky.; Wind Rose Farm, Berea, Ky.; and Henry Cattle, Bean Station, Tenn.
High selling lot was consigned by Double S Simmental, SS New Deal, a homozygous black son of Joker, out of the Jackie donor. He commanded a price of $5,800 going to Sanders Ranch, Louisburg, Kansas.
Second high selling bull was SVF L230, a two yer old son of Bold Stock, out of the Nichols Beat donor cow. This outstanding herdsire went down the road to Tompkinsville, Ky. to BP Cattle Co. for $3,500.
Lot 55 from Henry Cattle Co. commanded a price of $3,000. This yearling son of Power Stroke going back to the LBR Right Dream cow will be headed back north to the TNT Ranch at Almont, N.D.
The popular sale bull, Lucky Dough, commanded $3,000 going to Sanders Ranch, Louisburg, Kansas. This Lucky Dice fall bull, out of the Honeysuckle Rose cow was consigned by Sunset View Farm and Holli Parke.
The outstanding red herdsire SS Three Dimensonal had several friends on sale day. The winning bidder was Dennis Faulkner of Somerset, Ky. and paid the price of $3,000.
Bulls sold to Kentucky, Kanas, North Dakota, Tennessee, Georgia and Texas.
