Pine Ridge Ranch held it's Simbrah, Crimson Clover Sale on April 12, 2003 in Athens, Texas. Approximately one half of the sale cattle were produced by embryo transfer and many were produced from the leading Simmental and Simbrah bulls in the breed. Pine Ridge Ranch has DNA identified eleven bulls to be Homozygous for Tenderness and many progeny were in the sale. Pine Ridge Ranch specializes in hot weather Simbrah with a superior carcass with the goal of producing a 1200# steer at 12 months of age.

Pine Ridge was awarded for it's breeding efforts by its attendees, who sought out the Simbrah genetics in the sale. Buyers represented Mexico, Panama, and southwestern states. The high selling haltered show heifer was purchased by Nick and Robbie Powell of Anna, Texas for $3,300, the high selling bull was purchased by Louis and Sheila Wittie of Hammond, La. for $2,900 and the high selling pair was purchased by David Clanton of Meadeville, Miss. for $2,850. The high selling bred cow was purchased by Greg and Ruth Willey from La Vernia, Texas for $2,300.

Volume purchasers were Gene Foster of Dubach, La., Jim McGowen of Dallas, Texas, Greg and Ruth Willey of La Vernia, Texas, Nick and Robby Powell of Anna, Texas and Ken and Thad Derouen of Bell City, La.
