Black baldy steer : "Michael Jackson", steer belongs to a black cattleman whose son named it.

My dad has to name every animal by it's color. Some sort of fetish he has, I guess. Sometimes he'll get creative and name them the french word for the color (both my parents speak french).

So my wife, the ever present smart alec, asks my dad how does he name his brangus cows....He points to their ear tag and says 6, 8, 12, 36.....

I'm more the subtle smart alec, and would name the brangus "whitie"

Years ago Dad used to have a PB Simmental cow called "Turnip Tits".

The shoe fit. She was a huge beast who was a right pain to get a calf sucking on. Needless to say, she was went down the road.

Take care.

I've have quite a few cattle named #$@^! :p

I also had a steer named Stud, I don't think he knew he'd been de-studded  , after a while he hit the road

We had a red angus steer we called red bull...joke was on us, he had a bad banding job done and after we saw him chasing heifers we put him in the chute and removed two undecended testicles...still called him red bull though...for a few months anyway.

"Lucky" - a cow I bought out of the pound pen, and Elvis the bull - for obvious reasons. Steer calf named Bulldog - seriuos underbite when born.

We've had a steer named Hamburger and one named T-bone. I have a heifer named Martina because I bought her on Martin Luther King day. Several that can't be said on these boards.
