Fresh Cut Alfalfa

Put 30 acres on the ground today... Is there any better smell then fresh cut alfalfa? I swear, if there was a deodorant called "Fresh Cut" that smelled like that, I would probably use it!!

Only thing better would be if it was in my field.

Smells even better when it's in the barn.

Love the smell of fresh mowed alfalfa!

One year our alfalfa was still a little too wet when it was baled & it caramelized. Woah!!! So vile it turned me off fresh cut for years; I was clearly traumatized. But the cows loved it, similar to how a burnt marshmallow is always better.

Better than bacon grease?

Never smelt it. But if it smells better than fresh Bermuda grass or plowed dirt I might roll around in it .

Something amazing about mowing Alfalfa all day finishing up in the cool of the evening parking the tractor on the edge of a field and having a minute to look over what you have mowed and taking in the scent!
