Apparently Outback restaurants are anti - gun.

Help Support CattleToday:

We eat at outback once in a while. Never seen one posted.

Sounds like an idiot customer found her an idiot manager in this case.

I don't pay any attention to signs unless it is an actually illegal place to carry.

It sounds like an ignorant manager untrained in a corporate policy and a psycho customer who made the manager view the policy in a distorted way. "The customer had to be escorted out for fear of being shot"...... Outback is being screwed by this stupid manager.

Ok. This makes more sense to me. I like Outback and I make an effort to eat there when I am in Lexington, KY. I am not aware of an anti-carry policy. Sounds like a policy specific to one restaurant.
I will get a pushy customer every once in a while try to make me force another customer to do something that is not right or in my authority, I have to use common sense in the situation. Every ones money is green, but it seems some people who lack authority or power in thier own lives try to exact it out in restaurant's or business's that have to cater to the "customer is always right" motto. Well, as a manager, I will say, the customer is not always right, sometimes I gotta let them know, in a calm way :D

It will also get you "legally" arrested in some places.

Now what the heck is the escort going to do about her getting shot?

I own guns. My family owns guns. But I think it's a business's right to decide their gun policy, and I can understand why a restaurant that caters to a broad swath of society (especially families) would decide they don't want guns.

I think gun owners need to be respectful of others' opinions. To me that's just common civility. Of course, if you really can't bear to eat a tough steak and and a fried onion (or whatever the h3ll those godawful chains serve) without a gun on you, you'll vote with your feet, as noted. You can go home, make yourself a better, juicier, bloodier steak, and eat it surrounded by your entire arsenal, if you wish. :D

I agree. I have no problem with a business deciding their rules. I DO have a problem with the businesses or owners actively funding groups trying to completely take away my rights to own guns.

If I personally owned a business front I would ask people to not open carry.

This was more about the patron being a police officer, not an individual using their right to freedom of expression, life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Personally I'm going to do what I feel is in my best interest.

Did you notice
I said "actually illegal". I don't carry there.
There are few places that are actually illegal to carry In Missouri. Courthouse, post office ,busses trains police station.
In Missouri you can plaster the place with no gun signs , but they don't carry any weight.
All they can do is ask you to leave, and you would be really stupid not to do so.
Also not so smart in letting someone notice your gun to start with.

What a shame. They are buying up a lot of Galveston and Bolivar. I even have a landrys reward card. I guess it's time to throw it away.
You do realize you're GIVING them all that money for NO SERVICE if you do that.. they'd love for everyone to throw away the gift cards that have already been paid for!

It's not a gift card it's a rewards card. You pay 25 dollars for it and they take 25 off your first purchase. We used it to cut in line mostly. If there is a wait you show your card and go to the top of the list. There are also discounts on certain days stuff like that . Nothing pre paid except buying the card and that comes back to you on your first use.

ah, OK... I probably would have an issue as a customer if I was standing there waiting and others would get bumped to the top of the list.. I'd probably help them with their problem of too many customers and leave.
