Getting those chuckle burrs off the peckers of bull calves. Second time I've had this happen. Just lucky it wasn't the herd bull doing the kicking.

I don't need the cows help to hurt myself, I do it just fine on my own

a month ago.. it's pretty well healed up now, I do have a numb spot there though

We worked the new bulls last week.
The long eared on came down the alley so fast he got to the manual headgate while my son was still opening it up.
He hit the gate real hard. the pipe handle flew up and Chisholm folded up and hit the ground. I thought it had hit him in the Chin. But he bounced back up and caught the bull who had hit the gate hard enough to knock himself down. I noticed his face turning red..
I says ..he get your air boy.. Chisholm nods yes and starts gulping and wheezing..
I says sit down and get it back. By the time I gotta a tag in the bull he was back with the branding iron.
He asked, what you plan to do with that sumabytch ?
I says , gonna turn him out with some cows.
He says, that sumabytch will hook ya.
I says you scared or something?
He says no I aint scared . Just wanted to make sure you knew... he'll hook ya.
