New Holland Powerstar T4 75

Postby MudHog » Fri Sep 08, 2017 12:02 pm

Anybody have one of these? I'm looking at a 2017 model and looking for some past experiences. Also looked at the Kubota M5 but don't want to jump to a 90hp tractor. The M7060 just felt to small/short and that is my fear being I will be handling round bales and eventually baling 4x4 or maybe 4x5 bales, along with my square bales.

I looked hard at them a few years ago before I bought my 5525 John Deere. They are nice tractors but I wasn't impressed with the cab, the interior to me seemed cheap. When I was looking at them I thought 75 hp would be plenty of power for me but the pto hp was down to 60 or so I can't remember. My John Deere is 90hp with 75 on pto and pulling a roller up some of the steep ground we have it could use more power. The next tractor I buy will be 100hp engine. Go with the biggest tractor u can afford you want be sorry. Just my opinion.

I forgot the biggest reason I didn't buy a new holland tractor is the dealer that's closest to me sucks!! There customer service is terrible and I wouldn't let the service department work on my weed eater

Thanks. Don't have hills here in South LA and my biggest concern is price of upkeep and maintenance. I'm reading some problems on the first Powerstar tractors, but not much on the 2017 models. I know Kubota, but not set on a 90hp tractor. Plus that up range is where DEF comes into play.

I want something with a buddy seat for my daughter and can't find one for the M7060. My fear of the M7060 Is if it is to small. I know people who bale now with M6800 2wd and it handles everything. The M5 Is comparable in size to the Powerstar.

The Kubota will handle 4x4 or 4x5 bales/baler good. I would be more concerned about all the expensive Emission equipment on the new tractors as one day it will cost you and probably sooner than later.. Look first at trying to find a good used Tier 2 or less tractor.

I have a 2013 New Holland T4.75. I bought it brand new. It now has 1450 hours on it and only one thing that it went in for warranty work was one of the front hub seals leaking just a bit. Been very happy with it! For a its size its hoss. For that size tractor the nicest cab on the market in my opinion. B&G

depends on how you look at it.spent a ton of money on the 7700 getting it ready to work again. 2 new airplane tires fore the front.new a/c compresser new fan motor for the a/c plus a new alternator.almost spent what its worth.but in all fairness it has prolly 22000hrs or more on the 2nd motor.

our kubota 7060 is a little under powered baling the 4x5's. going up hill with a full chamber it is really working and could use a little more hp. it does a great job moving them around and we bale real tight.

Thanks guys. I've come across a couple M8560 Kubotas that are both 2015 models. One has 1700 hours and is $38,750 and the other is 752 hours and $42,900. I'm also going to get pricing today on the LS brand tractors. I looked at them a couple years ago when I first started looking at tractors, but haven't had a chance to sit in one or drive one. Reviews seem very positive on them as well. LS has a 2 year /750 hour warranty on the tractor and 5 year warranty on the powertrain.

If you can find a 40 or earlier series Kubota go that route. Kubota is a better tractor. I have a NH and it will get turned orange or green first chance I get. Good luck.

I have the T4.75 but have only put about 70 hours on it so far. They've fixed a hydraulic leak on a T at the filter housing but my biggest gripe is the PTO is independent of the clutch pedal. My 10' bushhog bogs the engine down pretty good on start-up.

LS makes all new holland tractors up to around 50hp.

I don't like the newer new hollands.. if you can find a nice TL90 or something thats a nice tractor.
