It is great to see support for Christian value's and companies that still close their door's on Sunday so the employee's can spend time with their family.
It will be interesting to see what the media does with this.

What fantastic publicity. And it's FREE  I have no idea if that was the owners original intention or not but polarization can sure attract people that are already in your hemesphere. Good for him and everyone that works for him.
That being said, I haven't eaten fast food in years and I don't want to go back to it regardless of what the owners politics are. Try growing it yourself for a year and then eat fast food once and you'll see what I mean. ;-)

My wife went today with a bunch of our
Friends since I was tied up. The lines were crazy, and she swears several gay guys were there innkine to buy food. If that's the case it seems the rainbow coalition failed in more ways than just the obvious

"On Friday, supporters of same-sex marriage will have their say. They plan a “kiss-in” at Chick-fil-A restaurants across the country – encouraging gays and lesbians to share a public display of affection at the home of the chicken sandwich."

I think I "need help with a 30-30" on Friday :lol2: We don't have any Chic-fil-a around here. If I were the owner, I think I would close down on Friday and declare it national holiday "Freedom From Freaks Day"

We don't eat fast food- but we went to eat there tonight
they must have had a good turn out- sign on the door--
Thank-you for your support but we closed early as we ran out of chicken.

I agree, if I was them I would give all the employees a paid holiday and close shop. I would call it "Freedom of Oppression Day"

I wouldn't close. I would declare every dollar made on Friday goes to the charity that they are so adamantly against. Of course, I wouldn't make that declaration until Saturday morning. :D

My daughter and son-in-law drove about 75 miles to eat at Chic-fil-a yesterday in Jonesboro Ar, she said they were covered up, cars were backed up on the hwy and parked everywhere.
I would like to have went with them but couldn't get away.

The local news also showed the crowds at Cape Girardeau Mo and they interviewed one of the few protesters, I bet his momma would be proud.

Cross-7, I read your link "liberal media http://smallbusiness.yahoo.com/advisor/ ... 15760.html" How does that idiot think this was a public relations nightmare for Chic-fil-a ? I think Dan Cathy just found out the majority of Americans believe like he does...

Won't happen. Go read the definition of insanity one more time! :D :D Proper coverage would not be Politely Correct in their book. I typo'd "politely" on purpose by the way :D

It was all over the local news (all 3 major networks as well as Fox) last night. Of course, they gave some interview time to "the other side" that was there in very small numbers as well. One chik fi-a manager took 'em some bottled water. I couldn't tell if it was regular water or the pink stuff.

Here's the story and a photo from our local Chic-fil-A. I'm still pretty amazed at the response. This is not an encouraging sign for the opposition party come November. I mean I've seen their supporters line up like this to receive someone else's money but never to actually spend it.

Since I didn't get to go yesterday I went today. The place was full but not hanging out the door. Took about 5 minutes to order with 4 cashiers working. Seems it's back to normal.

I'm going tomorrow slick. I can't wait to see if anyone shows up for the gay and lesbian "PDA" Day they've called for.

Somehow I think it'll just be a regular day at the local joint.

This whole issue is a perfect example of what is wrong with the whole nation, your free to believe what you want...as long as your beliefs are the same as everyone else! The CEO of Chick-fil-a is certainly free to feel how ever he wants and the corporation is free to donate to whatever they want...in the same respect if you don't like it you are free not to patronize the establishment! I highly doubt the stores have a sign up stating they won't serve people of a specific race, religion or sexual preference, yet Mayors of certain cities have basically put up a sign saying they won't serve corporations based on their personal beliefs....umm I'm pretty sure that IS discrimination!! Let them build their business there and the citizens will be free to choose to patronize it or not!

I'm sorry but race, religion and sexual preference have nothing to do with the type of person you are but your actions do....there are a whole lot of bigots out there!
