Cruises-Ever thought of going on one?

Postby ffamom » Sat Jun 09, 2012 2:16 pm

If you are in the market for one, let me know. I sell them in addition to teaching 8th grade science. All proceeds go to getting my son through Texas Tech in Lubbock without a student loan. Two years down and two to go.

Dreaming of a particular cruise line or destination, I can email you specials when I get them. Send me a PM and let me know what your looking for. How about a cattle today group cruise? I can set that up too.

Thanks for reading and I hope I didn't offend anyone. Not my intent at all.

NO!!! Cooped up on a BOAT with at least 4,000 strangers? Right up there with jumping out of a perfectly good airplane on my list :hide: I need a shivering in fear icon.
Some people just need a high five....in the face.... with a chair.

It's actually pretty nice peg. Not for everyone obviously, but even though my idea of a good time on the water is fishing out in the middle of the ocean, we enjoyed ourselves. Went diving,Snorkeling, ate pretty good.
If there were 4000 people on the boat we didn't notice. In fact, on formal dinner night my lovely bride wore a beautiful red cocktail dress. As we walked into the dining area the entire room went silent. Not a single clink from a single dish or piece of silverware. Lasted what seemed to be minutes but was most likely 10 seconds. I'll never forget it.

Hook, will you come take care of my critters while I'm gone?

No, I meant for Hook to come watch my critters while I visit the lady in the red cocktail dress :lol2:

You can keep the dress :lol2:

Sorry Hook, couldn't resist; hope you know I'm joking :cboy: :tiphat:
Good to have a lady that other folks like to look at. I have one of those models myself. Very happy husband and I am sure you are too. I tell her every day she is my darlin companion. Sometimes I sneak up from behind while she is brushing her teeth

Best sleep in the world is on a cruise. I guess it's just the way the boas softly sways.

My wife and I have been on two cruises, while I'll say I don't know if I love them I would go on another so there must be something I enjoy.

My short list of things to do and not do:

1. Don't plan on drinking a lot of beer, while all the food and some beverages are "prepaid" (not free) on both cruises we were on the beer was $6 a bottle. We had no beer bill on our second cruise.

2. Had a cabin with a balcony on both cruises, I don't think I could survive an inside cabin, no windows. Also some cabins and balconys are located behind a life boat, so that's your view from your cabin, a life boat 5 feet away.

3. If you like to play the slots or other machines in the casino play early. I swear they change the payout odds the first night. On our cruises the casino closes during the eary morning hours, I think the ship grimlins come out and tighten the screws ..... I just can't be my luck :lol2: .

4. Get your Internet fix before you board. On our second cruise my wife booked it during the college football season  , I was forced to pay $18 for 11 minutes to check scores. Yes it is an initial fee then by the minute afterwards, for very slow Internet.

5. Eat then go eat some more, you paid for it and you can work it off later. The dining room food was very good on both cruises and the buffet is quick and decent ...... Plus it's all you can eat, so at least in my case I tried to eat it all.

6. Check batteries, take all sun tan lotion, hats, sweatshirts (when at sea it can get a little chili). If you have to buy anything on board you'll hate the price.

7. Don't fall overboard, the boat won't (can't) stop to pick you up!

8. I found that the cruise crew frowns on fishing off the ships deck.

9. One of the most important thing is on formal dining night, don't let your wife catch you staring at the cleavage of some stunning lady in a red evening gown. :( Tends to damper things at the dinner table.

Feel free to add your own to the list.

Alan

When I went to Alaska on a cruise it was great. Only one person was wearing a cowboy hat out of 3k. Oh well.
If we would of known this, we would of picked our own cotton. Liberals have no values.

All I'll be wearing in the cabin is my hat and boots.
