yes. local show in a month so wanted to see how he scrubbed up. stood well while being washed considering he had not been on a halter untill a week ago. going to enter him in show basically as advertising. best way for people to see what you have.

That would depend on how your classes word there. They won't show in the same class, so why not take both. Both needs quite a bit of feed for the next month.

its a basic show on the isle of wight. just states beef bull over 12 months.
feeding is another thing i am yet to master. how/what do you feed to ensure growth in right areas and not just belly. first bull gets a quarter of a bucket of nuts twice a day and add lib haylige. put him out in small pasture this morning for afew hours then back in. intend to put him out in day and back in at night to conserve grazing in paddock.
second bull is working and on grass with half a bucket of nuts every couple of days.
advice welcome.

Let them graze during the day and feed them all they want during the night, add a little lime to prevent accidosis. Not sure what nuts you're referring to? Here we eat nuts and drink beer...

its a grower gain nut. different ingrediants mixed dryed and pressed into nuts. so if you let them eat all they want at night wont they get fat and look bloated

They won't get overfat in a month, but they need quite a bit more condition to really express themselves for the showring. You need a "nut" of about 12% protein and high in energy with a TDN of around 80-83 for your purpose.

as always Knersie that you for the advice. even though they are not your type of bull if they were both feed the same upto the show which one would stand a better chance against other breeds in your opinion.

The older bull is more correct, but the younger will probably show more power. If he had a bit more length hips to hooks it would have helped a lot.
