hi, i'm from montana!

hi everyone! i am 14 years old and when i was 8 my grandfather gave me my very first cow,a bred polled black/white longhorn-angus cross named oreo. we originaly began in '99 with 7 reg. longhorn cows and a black angus bull. a year later we bought a corriente heifer, 2 black angus cows and a red angus cow. after we sold that bull we leased a red angus for 2 years, then we bought a black maximizer bull. after him we bought another black max which we still own. this year i am old enough to help decide on a bull,so we are getting a black limousin. we have about 20+ cows calving this year and only 3 cows from the original herd, who are over 10 years old and still producing. when i got oreo she was bred to a black maximizer and the following march had a tame,horned,black/white heifer calf named sarah who is 5 now and, has a f2-b longhorn/angus/maximizer son for sale . after sarah came daisy mae a polled black/white,the year after daisy mae sarah was due but lost the baby so oreo had john-john. the next year sarah, oreo and daisy mae calved. sarah:black bull calf, oreo:spotted heifer, daisy mae:black bull calf. last year oreo had a blk/white heifer, sarah a blk/white bull, daisy mae a blk white heifer. since then daisy mae&calf have been sold, oreo just dropped a spotted heifer named rain and sarah is due this week. i am young and need all the cattle advice i can get. thanks :cboy:

Oh cool deal, I have friends on several ranches down in that area and have spent quite a bit of time there gathering cows and working as well as elk hunting. I live on a black angus ranch between Great Falls and Helena.

thats nice. lol the only angus we have on our ranch are some older angus/longhorn females. and we breed our cows to black maximizer bulls. angus are just too stocky and flat muscled for us no offense though.
