The cabin where Ford supposedly stayed with his brother on Saguache Creek is on my friends ranch. Part of that ranch includes Ford creek named after the brothers.
It is probably 40 miles or so from Creede where he was eventually killed.
Creede is still an outlaw town today. My friend Mike Green was banned for a long time from Creede for shooting bowling balls out of a cannon down Main Street a few years ago!

I know in parts of Missouri you can build a whole house without a single inspection.

Jasper county tx newton county tx . I live in one and farm in the other . I didn't pay taxes on my house for 2 years after I built it because the tax collector didn't know it was built . But as city folks move to the country they want to change the rules . As soon as my town becomes incorporated I'll move again . I just dont see the need for city government or city police basically any thing that makes the taxes go up .

A friend of my mothers moved out into the country and bought prperty on a lake, that was a subdivided farm. They built their new lake home right on the property next to the still existing farm yard / lot. She complained about the manure smell/ pile and actually sued the owner to have him remove it. Of course, it made it to court, because she found a lawyer who would take her money. The judge listened to the case, looked at the property documentation, and said, " I would advise you to keep your windows closed, if you don't like the smell." and threw it out. The farm was grandfather in, and it is still zoned Agricultural.

I laughed my a-- off.

Yes there is, Telfair and Wheeler county Ga. This is it, if it would only rain once in awhile and it wasn't so hot, and if the roads were paved, and if it didn't get so cold, and we have more deer than people, and the counties are dry and no beer sales on sunday. It's really bad here.

He doesn't know who I think I am. Much less who I know
And yes, both he and his wife are a bit thick around the middle. Lol

Careful my friend. Everyone thought Bob Ford was a dirty little coward but it didn't stop him from killing the biggest outlaw around at the time now. Did it?

Hope the neighbor is not the neighbor hood watch guy :P

Naw, he's the neighborhood "hide" guy. Hides behind his gate, hides behind the cover of dark, hides in the shadow of his 300 lb wife. Just hides all over the place.

Most rural counties here in MO have no building codes. Some city ordinances have requirements. Just a handful of counties are class 1 counties.
We finish calves for butcher. Why is the butcher the hardest part?

You loose 10 IQ points for each of those counties.
And you loose another 10 if you live in Gum Slough or Buna.
