Revenge is indeed best served cold

Postby hooknline » Thu Apr 26, 2012 2:33 pm

5 years ago I built a pole barn that is 48x24 and 2 stories. About 3/4 of the done my neghnor called me in to the building department for not pulling a permit. At the time I was required to pull one.
So, I had to have reverse engineering done, and paid out about 1000 dollars total in costs.
When I painted it, I primed it pepto bismol pink and left it for 6 months like that. You could see it a mile away.
Fast forward to today where I determined the time was right.
I called the building department because they built a large outbuilding behind their place. You can't see it from the street. And they have made multpliple additions to their mobile home. None of which have ever been permitted or even taxed as added value to their property. The buildings are at least 10 years old, and I verified all data thru the county building dept website and the property appraiser website.
They will have to bring all work up to code, and pay taxes on it. Or demolish it.
Oh, and I happened to mention to the county it's all visible by using google earth.
I would have been happy to not say anything, but they did call me in so.....Turnabout is fair play. :cowboy:

The worst he will do in retribution is try to block the road with some tree limbs. He's not very brave. He's the type to call the sheriff, code enforcement, etc and not leave a name. I left my name. In fact I warned him that if he continued to be an ass I would be more than happy to make his life miserable any way I could. So I gave him opportunities to be normal. He hasn't. So I followed thru with my promise.

Ryder, here unless you have an ag exemption you are required to pull a permit, which must include engineering.
At the time I didn't have the exemption.

Hook, he must be a bit thick, dobbing you in when he was on a bit shaky ground himself.

He thinks that no one knew about him and his building an not paying property taxes on the "improvements"
I would have let it go but I warned him if he continued to push he would lose. He called my bluff which wasn't a bluff.
He doesn't know who I think I am. Much less who I know
And yes, both he and his wife are a bit thick around the middle. Lol

Careful my friend. Everyone thought Bob Ford was a dirty little coward but it didn't stop him from killing the biggest outlaw around at the time now. Did it?

I love the part about paint'n the barn pink , wow wake up to that every mornin. I got a neighbor who is a real( richard skull) he's gotta have every thing perfect , this jerk told my wife yard looked like a used car lot. Me being abit of a ball buster went down to town and bought every for sale sign in a hundred miles . Then I went home and started diggin shyt outof the weeds, everything had a 4sale sign onit .My wife got home from work and she was liven. She let me leave it there for a day , she did make me take the sign I had ducktaped to her favorite chicken off . I know I got his attention and I cleaned up the back 40 .

I'd move some where there isn't building codes . Nothing I hate worse than sOmeone coming out to inspect something I'm working on when they don't have a clue what they are lookin at .
