Seman shopping for Gelbvieh bulls

Postby HOSS » Wed Apr 25, 2012 9:22 pm

I got stocked up today. I bought several straws of Goldrush Visa J40, Carolina Fortune and the two bulls listed below.

Reg # 1200762 and 971704.

I really like the 1200762 bull. He sold for $6,000 1/2 interest back in March. I have plans to breed some mature cows to him.

I stocked up with enough to last me for awhile. Just two more bulls to get. One 3way will help me with :)

I wanted Carolina Fortune last year however what little straws were available, non were cleared for export to Canada at the time. If you ever go red Hoss you should give Sir Arnold a try , he throws amazing calves still .

Good luck with your AI season. :tiphat:

To be honest HD.....if red sold as well as blacks here I would have all red cattle. I have a handfull of reds and I LOVE those girls. They are my best momma cows.

Probably won't get him collected until mid summer at least. He's on some cows now and we will probably try to collect him after he is done breeding them.

I wish I had known you liked Visa. I have 20 straws of his full brother. I would have made u a good deal on them!

I like the numbers on the other 2. Do you have a picture of the 2011 model?

Thats ok 3way. I would probably wouldn't use him on the registered girls until next season anyway.
No pics on the 2011 bull but Cabo has seen him. He is a similar to your new bull in regards to phenotype.

Registration numbers on my Goldrush bull might be a little different than yours Hoss. But he sure has made some nice cows. Big butted girls that could raise a calf.

Hoss, if I were in the registered side I probably would have let you talk me into buying him. He is head and shoulders above anything else in the sale. Good luck in the money side.
Oh, I hope I have someone to vote for next time.
