another Dumb ? about corn

I bought 700 lb of crack corn for winter its in 100lb Bags . I but them in a metal cabinet to keep out squrrels and mice in the garage ,I would like to know if it will Sour? or will it be all right. thanks

Depends on the moisture content but probably not. Probably have more trouble with bugs.

It will be fine. It is dried enough to store safely that it will keep from spoiling so long as you keep it dry, and it sounds like you have it stored well.

Is it possible to keep mice away from corn? :mrgreen:

Granny, I'm with you; seems to me they're like weevils in the respect that they exit from the grain after it's stored.

Awhile back I bought some food grade 55 gal drums with lids and haven't had any trouble with bugs, mice or mold and they keep the corn all winter and beyond. DMc
