Anyone out there want to weigh in on what they've seen for bred cow prices lately?
Thank You

4-8yr old 3rd stage cows are running from $800-1100 for good solid cows

2nd stage are going from $700-900
If they had to actually work with a Spade and Hoe versus electing them we would all be better off (Caustic Burno 2011)

Smallrancher, They had the bred cow and heifer sale at Tri County on Sat. See if they have the results posted on their site.

I checked, they don't have Sat results posted.
Its the cost of production and the value of your marketable product, or if you having fun. That's it, everything else is BS.

Strong demand for a change and a number of empty trailers going home. Early black heifers went over $900 and early solid mouth cows went over $800. My eight (six of them broken mouth) hard keepers sold at the end of the sale for an average gross of $634. One of them was 15 years old and the vet tagged her red for having a solid mouth?

Not many deals there unless you liked small heifers or Herefords. I bought back some wf fall caving heifers for $650. Tried to upload a pic but they were too big... My neighbor got some solid mouth Hereford hay fed cows for $575.

Sounds like cow prices are going up pretty good.

Tri County is in Motley MN. Lots of cattle go through their auctions.
