No, really. I'm new here.

Post by Buck Randall » Sun Jun 16, 2019 8:36 pm

I didn't introduce myself before I started posting in the general discussion threads, but thought this would be a good place to clear things up. I'm a veterinarian from the upper Midwest. No cattle of my own, but plan to have them some day and enjoy reading about other peoples' animals and how things are done outside of this area. I lurked for a few months before I decided to jump in.

Contrary to what some believe, I'm not a thin-skinned Kentuckian named Ron, I don't have any strongly held opinions on Simmental vs. Angus, and I don't have any other accounts, active or banned. If you don't believe me, fine, but I ask that you not extend any grudges already held against that person to me. Thanks. :D

Welcome aboard Buck! Really enjoyed your contribution on the pinkeye thread. Where abouts in the upper Midwest are you? Which state? If you'd prefer not to say, I understand.

Wisconsin. I'd prefer not to get any more detailed than that.

Fair enough. Welcome. Look forward to having another vet at CT.

http://blog.gulflive.com/mississippi-pr ... playe.html

I heard the name when I was watching an ESPN special about the Oxford riots a few years ago. My roommates and I thought it was a great name and have used it intermittently for anonymous online handles and jokes since then.

It also works as a reference to Bucky Badger/Camp Randall.

Lived in WI twice. Beautiful country! Hated the snow.

👋🏼 Hi welcome.
I been to Wisconsin a few times mostly just passing through. I did think about moving there one time. Pretty sure I remember researching and snow was a huge 👎🏽for me. Beautiful place but snow is a 👎🏽 for me. 😁 Have fun.
