Chic-fil-a

Postby TennesseeTuxedo » Wed Aug 01, 2012 12:32 pm

Just got back from lunch at McAllister's Deli in my hometown of Brentwood, TN. There's a Chic-fil-a next door to the deli and the line out the door was about 20 yards long with folks standing in 98 degree weather to eat there. The cars circled the block twice waiting on the drive through.

Made me proud.

I'm getting FB pictures from one of the local channels and they are showing lines of cars and people. One place had a 45 minute wait to get inside and it's 99 here.

My husband and I attempted to support Chick-fil-a today at lunch but had to alter our plan. At 11:05 am all parking spots were taken ( folks were parking anywhere they could), the drive through was wrapped around the building, and the line was out the door. We decided to stop there on the way home instead. My brother said it's the same way at the Chick-fil-a where he lives.

I'll be interested to see if the media covers all the standing room only activity!

Won't happen. Go read the definition of insanity one more time! :D :D Proper coverage would not be Politely Correct in their book. I typo'd "politely" on purpose by the way :D

Same here....we went to one in Waco...it had a double row of cars going thru the carry out line....about a hundred folks standing in line to go in and place an order and it looked like dozens and dozens of cars were parking in the Wal Mart parking lot and the folks were walking to Chic=fil=a...We sat in traffic about 15 minutes just waiting for a chance to leave. Cars waiting to turn in were backed up about 400 yards on the street. We ended up at Wendy's.

I took my office admin 2 hours to get our lunch for the office today. I'm pushing for the next appreciation day to be on NOV 6th.

It is great to see support for Christian value's and companies that still close their door's on Sunday so the employee's can spend time with their family.
It will be interesting to see what the media does with this.

Personally I do not like Chik-fil-a food and I don't care what the owner's religion or views are. It is his and his wife's business. Not mine or anyone else's.

I wonder if people would flock to any other business that makes the same declarations.

Well I don't know of a Chic-fil-a in the state let alone in this town. So I went to Jack in the Box. I wonder what Jack's opinion on all this is?
