And of course the tree huggers were concerned about having to euthanize the bear. Would have been a problem for me.

We have been having alot of bear issues here lately as well as wolf kills. The griz are following the river down and having more human contact and resulting trouble as the population expands. The solution in my mind is to allow hunting again in the near future to control the population at a sustainable level and give them the fear of man again. The wolves are a whole different story and are way out of hand.
One neat part of that is the kid who lives and works for us here on the ranchs' uncle. who is also a friend of ours designed the traps that caught both the sow and cub in that story.
