The kind of growth I love seeing on a calf.

Here is one of ours at 6 weeks of age. He’s a Treasure calf. And a total stud at pasture today. I worried he’d fall off on growth but he’s still a superstar. I just got a video of him yesterday.

His dam is maternally grandsired by PA Safeguard. I love some PA!

Thats a good calf NE. Mine is out of a little bitty 1400 lb cow so i don't figure he will amount to much. But i bet he will wean better than half his mothers weight.

We have a second calf heifer that looks like she’s going to do that. I was in total disbelief yesterday when they were side by side. It’s an Epic calf (commercial) but we have an embryo in her now so I’m delighted that she’s raising this calf so well.

This year with all the flooding has been a humbling one. Just having a momma to raise a calf or a calf on a momma, is a reward. But sheesh, seeing these matings click, is truly something to get giddy over.
