Sale cattle - Stars & Stripes Sale

Here are heifers consigned to Gettysburg Stars & Stripes Sale
First two are Sept heifer calves
Next two are yearlings that will be bred.

Thanks, but the snow is the "problem" trying to take good pictures for a catalog. It "washes" out the cattle. You can't SEE the hair. Just kinda "flat". And, obviously, cattle are not CLEAN this time of year, and no way to get them really clean. Manure balls are frozen tight. The first two are fall babies and have been in a much cleaner environment that the two yearlings.

If I where to have cows again. A herd full of the 2nd picture bred to red Angus bulls.

Had our NY Simmental meeting today (dispersed the semen order). Many came to the farm & battled the cold wind to view the new calves. These sale heifers were a big hit. Lots of nice compliments.
