Angus Bulls

Postby backhoeboogie » Wed Mar 28, 2012 2:24 pm

I've got two now. They are in the pasture and I cannot find out who the heck they belong to. They must have come across the Brazos somehow. No one across the river is running these or missing these that I can find.

I called the sheriff in both counties. They both know I am beyond sick of these doggone bulls in my pasture.

I can count forward now for gestation and everything is terminal again. I had a angus in the pasture for 4 months. Every time I took him home he wound up back with more damage to fences. They FINALLY sold him. Now I got two more and it hasn't even been a month.

I am sure they must be the ones I am missing. Just go ahead and sell them and send me the check.

Boogie, if it isn't one thing its another! For your sake I sure hope those bulls get gone soon, one way or another.

I'm thinking you must have some of the prettiest heifers and cows in your county and that's why all the bulls come to your place! LOL

Why not just once a quality polled Herf or my preference, a high quality brangus bull?

I've called everyone I know within miles. Surely somebody is going to be looking. They have tag numbers in the thousands on their ears. Both are double tagged.

Hopefully the owner aint some A-...... this time.

There's plenty of grass. Feeding them is not an issue.

I never did figure out where my heifer came from or who it belonged to. She dropped a calf the other day. A jet black one. Sherriff's office called me and asked if anyone turned up I told them no. They said it looks like its mine. I guess so.

Now if I could just find those two angus bulls that went missing. Numbers were a thousand and something. Just can't remember. I was going to sell em at the barn. Heck, I'd give someone half the money as a reward if they would just let me know something. :D

He can't that will land him in jail in Texas he has done what he can notified the sheriff. The sheriff is the only person can impound cattle in Texas. Who ever own's those bulls have rights in Texas you can't shoot, injure or sell an estray in the state without severe penalties.

The owner has been found. Deputies called. Its a widow lady and sure enough she's from across the river. Go figure. The Brazos has been running pretty good. Maybe these fellows have been missing a while and just now turned up at my place.

Rode the fences looking for holes and can't find where they came in. Maybe they're jumpers.

Neither bull looks to be hanging with any particular cow. They did flem a few. Maybe I'll be lucky and nothing was bred to them.
