A true thrill of victory can not be experienced unless you have already experienced the agony of defeat.......

Maybe that is why I am having trouble getting the point across.

I don't think I have ever experience getting a thread locked mid-stream by a moderator involved in a discussion, but I think I have seen it happen many times. Surely the feeling of humiliation is gigantic. I am very mild tempered but have been around many that were not. I could only imagine how they would behave to be in a discussion with a moderator, have a normal disagreement, and then be locked out in replying. Try to create a new thread to address the rebuttal only to get the new thread deleted.

No idea but dun would make a great one. Frankie could never be a good mod as she lets her personal feelings interfere too much.

I've been following this discussion all the way through. Something that everyone needs to remember. This board is not a government entity to be run as any type of democracy. It is privatley owned. Sorta like coming out to old Macon's barn every saturday afternoon to shoot the bull, ask questions and to offer solicited advice. If the owners of this barn tell us that there are some topics off limits for our litlle get togethers here on this board, then we have a choice. Either to be or not to be. They do not ban us from using pm's to carry on one of these discussions. They do not ask us to be apethetic in either our political or theological beliefs. They are just saying not right now not right here. There are many boards that we can go to for these things. I've never seen anyone banned or locked down for holding a particular belief in God or Ronald Reagan (in that order) However they want to keep it informational and only allow (light)confrontation regarding regarding the topics that they formed the discusssion group for. As far as the Mods having the last word? If you come into my home and I shut a conversation, I have the right to pust the last comment on it as I shut it down. It's my house. This board is someone elses board and we are guests.

Looks like it's getting time to lock this one. It just got religious.....
When blacks have identity it is called pride.
When indians have identity it is called culture.
When jews have identity it is called history.
When whites have identity it is called racism.

If you take note, it's a myth that the mods have the last word! Doesn't happen!:lol2:
